The Imitation Game: Inspiring Innovation
l will admit, seeing another company echoing my work was a moment that caught me off guard. After years of dedication, deep scientific rigour, and the courage to challenge the status quo, it felt—at first—like a gut punch. But then I took a breath. And another. When you are truly innovating, people will follow, and that is part of my mission.
Women deserve choices in menopause care outside of hormone therapy — natural alternative choices that are informed, clinically validated, and tailored to individual needs.
I choose to see this as validation. The fact that others are all of a sudden interested in the science of botanical medicines for menopause and the endocannabinoid system means one thing: the conversation is growing, and that’s a win for women’s health. For far too long, women have been left with limited options, often dismissed or given band-aid solutions. If this moment is shining a bigger spotlight on truly scientifically validated treatments, then I welcome it.
However, bringing botanical medicine into the menopause conversation is just the first step. True innovation requires scientific credibility, rigorous formulation, and the right expertise. Not all research is created equal. Not all formulations are built from the ground up with integrity. And not all companies have the privilege of working with the best minds in the field.
We are not simply combining trendy plant extracts and calling it innovation. We are leading first-of-their-kind clinical trials on botanical menopause treatments, with world-renowned Ethan Russo as a formulation partner and a proof-of-concept trial underway in the USA. Our approach is not about chasing headlines—it is about setting a new standard in women's health.
It’s also impossible to ignore the timing of all this. At a recent conference held in Australia, I publicly shared the research and work we are doing for the first time in three years. And now, a new player is positioning themselves at the forefront. The timing is interesting, but what matters most is the integrity of the science and the long-term impact on women’s health. I know the work we’ve put in, and I know the difference between true innovation and commercial mimicry.
For those seeking truly evidence-based menopause solutions, real progress in women’s health isn’t about who gets there first—it’s about advancing clinical rigour, botanical therapeutics, and menopause care with integrity. That’s the path we will continue to walk, because true innovation stands the test of time.
